Mota-Engil bags €975m worth of contracts in Angola and Mexico

Portuguese contractor Mota-Engil has won contracts in Angola and Mexico worth a total of €975 million (US$1.06 billion).
In an update to investors, the company said that the bulk of the new contracts were in Angola, worth a total of €875 million (US$952.7 million).
The three contracts in Angola include: the construction of 2,000 social houses, four road junctions and other infrastructure on the Corimba waterfront in Luanda; rehabilitation of infrastructure of the Nova Vida urbanisation in the municipality of Kilamba Kiaxi in Luanda; and construction and restructuring of the Luvo border post in the Province of Zaire on the border between Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In Mexico, the company won a contract worth €100 million (US$108.9 million) for the construction of a viaduct for buses connecting the State of Mexico with the country’s capital.
