Eiffage Construction appoints new president
02 July 2024
Eiffage, the France-based construction concessions and contracting company, said it appointed Olivier Berthelot – effective 1 July – president of the group’s construction division.
Berthelot will also sit on the executive committee for Eiffage.
He succeeded Olivier Genis, who retired after assuming the role in March 2017.
“Olivier has devoted his entire career to the group,” noted Eiffage, adding he graduated from ESTP engineering school in France.
He has been with the company since 1991, joining the group as a programme manager. He held various positions with Eiffage Construction’s production teams before becoming a Paris-area subsidiaries director in 2005.
“In 2011, he was appointed director at Eiffage Construction major projects, then regional director in 2014. In 2019, he became an operations director at Eiffage Génie Civil and was in charge of all production for the lot 1 of the line 16 of the Grand Paris Express, before finally joining Eiffage Concessions as special projects director,” said Eiffage.
Berthelot is also the chairman of Nové, the concession holder for the contract to manage, renovate, and develop housing stock owned by the French Ministry of Armed Forces.
“To ensure a smooth handover, in January 2024, he was appointed deputy CEO at Eiffage Construction while he continued to chair Nové,” noted Eiffage.
