The company said it has executed its $1.66 billion contract with the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation for work on the previously announced City Centre Guideway and Stations Project.

It will build three miles of elevated rail guideway starting from just east of the Middle Street Transit Center Station and ending at the Civic Center Station, which will be located just east of the intersection of Halekauwila Street and South Street in downtown Honolulu.

Project design is set to start immediately, with construction scheduled to start in the second half of 2025 ahead of substantial completion in 2030.

Parsons Corporation will serve as Tutor Perini’s design subcontractor.
